Fair Time

Meeting was called to order by Michael Williams at our new location at NSSB. Our program was Craig Emsweller, he was introducted by Debbie Konter. Craig represents the Hendricks County Fairgrounds. He is in charge of the social media and website for the Fairgrounds along with renting facilities. Craig gave us a brief update on the events that will be happening at the 4-H fair along with discussing some of the other events that take place at the fairgrounds. He also mentioned a new "Bear" mascot will be appearing at the fair this year and the mascot, aka Craig, is hoping the weather will cooperate for the event.

Other announcements included the concert on the Square for July 21st. Duke Tomatoe is the headliner and Flory was looking for some volunteers for the concert. Dipping for the strawberries/banana was discussed, but no location or time was determined. Watch your email for details.

John McKinney has been in the hospital due to heart problems.  He is currently off the ventilator and is recovering.  His wife Patty said that he is still very sick but making progress.  Please keep him in your prayers.

Anyone wanting to have fun and help the club can join the "Chocolate Dipping Party" at Tracie Shearers Thursday night in preparation for Saturday night Summer Sounds on the Square Rotary Booth. We will be selling once again chocolate covered strawberries and bananas. The party will start at 7:00 p.m. at 337 N. Washington St.

We may not make buckets of money but we get tons of exposure for our club at these events and have gained some recognition and will eventurally gain members because of our outreach to the community.

Let Tracie know if you can make it so she will know how to plan for the evening. If you can sell on Saturday night let Flory know (floryphillips@yahoo.com) so she can put you on the schedule, I know she still needs helpers.
