The Natives are Restless...

There are few people who really get into their work.  We had the pleasure to hear from two such people on Thursday.  Leading us off was Pastor Bill Barfield.  As one of the newest members of the club, Bill gave his ten minutes of fame.  He treated us to the path that he traveled to become the pastor of the Episcopalian church here in Danville.  Crocks and flocks are Bill's motto.  I am sure that Sunday is just as entertaining as his speach today.

Bill introduced Brandon Doub.  Brandon spent time studying native american indians in the southwest United States.  Brandon was able to witness native american traditions that few Angloes get to see.  Our club helped sponsor his trip.  He will be going back to school this fall and has already lined up a teaching job of 6th graders.  I am sure that his love and expierence of the Southwest will serve him well.

Doug Catt and Terry Kessinger asked Karen Houk to come and speak to the club about Sycamore Services and Tiki Time their signature event that will take place next week.  You can still register on line HERE.

The district has opened up the porthole to register for the district conference at Purdue.  You can register here.    There is a special price by registering before Aug. 26th.

Just a reminder that the board has approved our permanent change to North Salem State Bank.  See you all on Thursday.
